BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — After a stormy evening, light rain is still falling this early morning. Showers should move into higher elevations later this morning. Look for mostly cloudy skies around the valley today, with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s.
Yesterday's cold front will end the streak of consecutive record highs in Boise. Temperatures should remain above average through early next week. Look for highs in the mid-40s over the weekend.
Rain and snow will continue in the mountains through this evening. Two to five inches of snow is expected in the mountains at elevations above 6,000 feet.
There may be some rain in eastern Oregon tomorrow. However, most of the valley should only see cloud cover through Sunday afternoon. Another front will likely arrive Sunday evening, bringing more rain to the region on Monday.
Stay tuned.
